'DO NOT expect any positives from Indo-Pak flag meet'
Asserting that there will be charges and counter charges between the two Asian neighbours during the Brigade Commander-level flag meeting, defence analyst Bharat Verma on Monday said nothing much is going to happen in Monday's meeting because infiltration and export of terrorism from the Pakistani side will continue to take place.
Verma said 'the first issue India is going to raise in the Brigade Commanders flag meeting is the beheading that has been done'.
"Pakistan will deny it and that will be the only discussion. India will warn, Pakistan will warn India. So, there will be charges and counter charges. The problem here is very simple. India does not export terrorism or create conditions for infiltration because we don't have any irregular forces to infiltrate into Pakistan. But whenever Pakistan tries to infiltrate its own people, the terrorists, into Indian Territory, India has to retaliate," said Verma.
"So, despite the flag meeting nothing much is going to happen. And again sometime later, there will be firing. And firing to defend ourselves because the infiltrators are coming in, which Pakistan will continue to do. So, it really doesn't matter and I don't think there is going to be a great deal happening with the flag meeting," he added.

India and Pakistan will hold a Brigade Commander-level flag meeting in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch sector on Monday during which New Delhi is expected to register strong protests against the brutal killing of two jawans by Pakistani soldiers along the Line of Control.
The meeting between the two sides comes close on heels of the brutal killing of two Indian jawans by Pakistani troops along the Line of Control.
Two Indian jawans Lance Naik Hemraj and Lance Naik Sudhakar Singh were killed by infiltrating Pakistani soldiers in Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir on January 8.
Their bodies were found mutilated, sparking a diplomatic face-off between India and Pakistan and tension along the Line of Control that separates the two countries.
Pakistan has denied India's claim that its troops crossed the Line of Control to ambush a patrol party in the Mendhar sector in Poonch district.
Confidence Building Measures (CBMs) of cross-LoC trade and travel are also expected to come up for discussion during the flag meeting.
