As has been pointed out by the Christian Science Monitor the new state of Telangana is big enough to be the world's 33rd largest country.

India is the world's seventh largest country.

Telegana will be India's 29th State.

It will take almost six months for the new state of Telangana to come into being.

It will include adoption of the State Re-Organisation bill by Parliament by a simple majority.
