K'taka CM walks to Raj Bhavan to submit resignation

July 31, 2011 15:41 IST

Chief Minister of Karnataka, B S Yeddyurappa has finally set out on foot to the Raj Bhavan. The chief minister, accompanied by his supporters, will walk to Raj Bhavan to tender his resignation.

The last interaction Yeddyurappa had with the leaders from New Delhi he said in clear terms, "make the announcement public about who the new leader would be and then I shall set out to the Raj Bhavan". Yeddyurappa loyalists say he does not trust the high command and feels that they will betray him once he steps down.

There is a clear-cut clash between the CM and the high command with the latter refusing to make any announcement.

Yeddyurappa has said that Sadananda Gowda should be made the next chief minster. Also, at a programme earlier on Sunday Yeddyurappa said his friend would be the next CM. Yedddyurappa has also sought the post of party president for himself.
