Last updated on: November 17, 2021 18:20 IST

On Wednesday, dentist Dr Mudasir Gul's widow, carrying her 18-month-old child in her arms, wept and angrily demanded evidence that her husband -- who was slain during a firefight between security forces and terrorists in Hyderpora, Srinagar, on Monday evening -- was an over the ground worker. Over the ground worker is Kashmir policespeak for an accomplice of the terrorists.

Also at the protest at Srinagar's Lal Chowk were the family members of the Hyderpora building's owner Altaf Ahmed Bhat, who was also killed during the encounter.

Dr Gul and Bhat's families wanted their kin's bodies to be handed over to them for a proper burial.

The Kashmir police had buried Dr Gul, Bhat and the two Pakistani terrorists's bodies at an undisclosd location over 100 kilometres away from Srinagar.
