London's busy Hearthrow airport closed early on Monday after volcanic ash from Iceland resurfaced and drifted south, a report stated.
Thousands of passengers are set to face fresh travel woes all over again, barely weeks after Iceland's Eyjafjoell volcano's first eruption, the ash of which had paralysed the air movement in Europe -- the biggest airspace shutdown in the continent for more than 50 years.
London's Gatwick Airport was also shut down for six hours, reports added.
The volcano under the Eyjafjallajokull glacier in Iceland is continuing to erupt with no signs of the explosive activity about to end and an ash plume reaching heights of 25,000 feet (7,620m), Britain's Met Office offical told agencies.
The volcanic ash have also disrupted air movement in Ireland, reports claimed.
