Vijaykanth hurt aboard Madurai flight

Desiya Murpokku Dravidar Kazhagam leader Vijaykanth suffered minor injuries aboard a Madurai-bound flight, when the plane was caught in a storm for a few minutes, officials said on Wednesday.

Vijaykanth had a slight injury on his forehead and was given first-aid, they said.

The Jet Airways carrier coming from Chennai, however, landed safely at the airport in Madurai on Tuesday night and around 49 passengers in the plane were reported to be safe.
