SP MLA's son rusticated from varsity for misbehaviour

A Samajwadi Party member of Legislative Assembly’s son, who was accused of misbehaving with a female teacher, was rusticated from the AmityUniversity, official sources said in Lucknow.

Samajwadi Party MLA Pramod Gupta's son Abhinav Gupta was rusticated on Monday after the university inquiry committee declared him guilty following eyewitness accounts in its report, they said.

Abhinav, who was doing a Law course in the AmityUniversity campus in Lucknow, was arrested and released on bail on Sunday last, they said. The university has said that Abhinav would not be given admission to any of its campuses across the country.
