Security has been beefed up in Bengaluru's Ulsoor suburb, ahead of Sunday's unveiling of Tamil saint and poet Thiruvalluvar's statue.

Pro-Kannada organisations had objected to the proposed unveiling, terming the move as "anti-Kannada".
