The season of festivals is well and truly on in full vigour in India.
Our roving photographer, Sahil Salvi, captured this artist dressed up as Hanuman, ardent devotee of Hindu god Lord Ram, helping Raavan get his heads straight.
The photograph was shot in Mumbai during a rehearsal for the dramatic folk re-enactment of sage Valmiki’s epic Ramayan ahead of the festival of Dussehra, which celebrates Lord Ram's victory over Raavan.
