What do the residents of a country do when their country finally witnesses some peace after constant war and destruction for a whole month?

After 29 days of constant war, guns firing, Palestinians came out of hiding on Tuesday on the first day of the three-day ceasefire announced.

Kids playing, enjoying ice cream, laughter rung out in the area after ceasefire held, which is now the longest lull in a war that has killed nearly 1,900 Palestinians.

Here are some of the moments captured.

After the guns, comes the peace. And on Tuesday, after hiding, Palestinian children enjoyed some time playing at a United Nations-run school. The war has claimed 393 children.

Israel withdrew ground forces from the Gaza Strip on Tuesday and started a 72-hour ceasefire with Hamas mediated by Egypt as a first step towards negotiations on a more enduring end to the month-old war.
