A Ghaziabad court will on Tuesday take up the framing of charges against dentist couple Nupur Talwar and Rajesh Talwar in the case relating to the murder of their teenaged daughter Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj after the accused pleaded lack of preparation for arguments.

The couple's advocate filed an application before the Additional District Judge of Central Bureau of Investigation special court Shyam Lal contending that the investigating agency has handed over 6000 pages of documents to them only a day before and they are not prepared for arguments against the charge-framing.

The judge on Monday gave them one day's time for being prepared and fixed for next hearing for Tuesday.

Special Judge Lal had rejected Talwars' plea saying the Supreme Court has ordered expeditious trial.

While Rajesh Talwar is out on bail, Nupur has been in judicial custody since April 30 when she surrendered before a Ghaziabad court on a direction by the Supreme Court.

14-year-old Aarushi was found dead with her throat slit at her Noida residence on May 16, 2008 and the body of Hemraj was recovered from the terrace a day later.
