Sixteen CBI officers felicitated by the President

President Pratibha Patil has conferred police medals on sixteen officers of the country's premier investigative agency, the Central Bureau of Investigation, according to a press note issued by CBI's publicity department.

Amongst those who have been decorated with the President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service are

R K Mishra, Joint Director (Economic Offences Wing), CBI, New Delhi,

H C Awasthy, Joint Director (AC/HQ), CBI, New Delhi.

Raju Rangarajan, Superintendent of Police, Special Unit, CBI, Chennai and

R KChoubey, Superintendent of Police, CBI Academy, Ghaziabad.


The officers  who have been awarded the Police Medal for Meritorius Service include

Praveer Ranjan, Deputy Inspector General, SU, CBI, New Delhi,

Ramnath Azad, Assistant Director, (IPCC), CBI, New Delhi,

Ravinder Singh, Additional Superintendent of Police, AC-III, CBI, New Delhi,

Ashok Babu, Deputy Superintendent of Police, ACB, CBI, Ghaziabad,

M. Shajahan, Inspector, ACB, CBI, Trivandrum,

Uday Keshav More, Inspector, EOW, CBI, Mumbai,

Mohan Singh Rawat, Sub-Inspector, EOU-I, CBI, New Delhi,

One of the woman officer Ms Sonali Misra of the Indian police service has also been awarded the medal.
