July 02, 2014 19:51 IST

The map above visualises the percentage of households that have access to drinking water within the premises as found in the National Sample Survey's 69th round (2012).

In another data visualisation story, we had reported that 55 per cent Indians have drinking water within their premises.

In the map above you will see that some areas like Changland (Arunanchal Pradesh), Kokrajhar (Assam) and North West Delhi, had drinking water within the premises in as many as 100

per cent of the households surveyed.

(Note: Districts in white represent areas for which data was not available).
