Leader of opposition in Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, Eknath Khadse on Tuesday rubbished allegations levelled against him by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena President Raj Thackeray of ‘settlement’ with the government saying that he was prepared for a probe by a House committee.

The issue was raised by Nationalist Congress Party Member ofg Legislative Assembly Jitendra Avhad saying that allegations against the Leader of Opposition was questioning the character of the august House.

"The post of leader of opposition is a constitutional post and allegations of settlement cast aspersions on all members," he said demanding a probe into the issue.

Khadse said he was ready for a probe by a committee constituting MLAs from all parties.

"The truth will come out whether the allegations are true or conspiracy to malign him. I have pursued all issues raised by me in the House. My actions must have surely caused losses to most builders, SRA projects," he added.

"I am ready to face a probe. Whatever issues I have raised in the House is with documentary evidence and have submitted all the details to the chief minister and also the Central Vigilance Commission. I am told that the chief secretary has been asked to probe

the allegations. I have always followed up on all charges," he said adding that he had no partnerships with builders.

Shashikant Shinde (NCP) sought to know from Khadse if he would move a breach of privilege against those who levelled the allegations against him. On Sunday, Thackeray had alleged that Opposition parties raise questions during the day while in the evening they agree on a ‘settlement’.

"I know how 'settlements' are made of issues affecting people but the MNS does not believe in such ways. We will ourselves take on the government this time," he had said.
