Pranab's President certification handed over to PM

Certification of Election of Pranab Mukherjee as President of India has been handed over to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Monday.

Both Chief Election Commissioner V S Sampath and Election Commissioner H S Brahma signed this letter in the Nirvachan

Sadan. A copy of this letter has also been delivered to Union Home Secretary R K Singh.

Two principal secretaries of Election Commission have personally taken this certification to the Prime Minster's Office in South Block, which is a customary drill by Election Commission.

Incidentally on Sunday the senior officials of Election Commission worked despite being a holiday to be in attendance for emergency exigency when the counting for Presidential polls was underway.
