Work refuses to leave Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who is vacationing in Manali with his family.
He will receive a briefing on Friday from National Security Adviser Brajesh Mishra on his talks with US President George W Bush, his National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice and Secretary of State Colin Powell in Washington and Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage in London.
He will also clear some urgent files.
The prime minister, who arrived in Manali on Tuesday, is also keeping a tab on the latest developments in the peace process with Pakistan.
"We have extended a hand of friendship and let us see what response comes from there," he had said on his arrival.
Vajpayee has confined himself to morning and evening strolls in the vicinity of the cottage where he is staying.
He has also brought some books to read and is unlikely to travel, especially to the market areas.
According to the Prime Minister's Office, Vajpayee has no public engagements in Manali, although a dinner in his honour to be hosted by Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh may be on cards.
A number of requests for a meeting have come from local people and panchayat leaders, but no decision has yet been taken on these, they added.
