First she paid tribute to the 26/11 victims, then stunned Sachin Tendulkar with her cricket skills. The next stopover was at Banganga, where they chatted with slumdwellers, played football with the children and met representatives of the charity SMILE.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Prince William and Kate Middleton
are in Mumbai as part of their seven-day tour of India and Bhutan, aimed at building up strong bonds with the two countries.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge laid a wreath at the Taj Mahal Palace hotel, the scene of the Mumbai terror attacks in 2008. The couple arrived in Mumbai on Sunday morning for their first royal tour as a couple for almost two years. In the visitor’s book at the Taj hotel, the royal couple wrote: “In memory of those who lost their lives and those injured in the senseless atrocities at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel.” Photograph: Mark Cuthbert-Pool/Getty Images

The Duchess blended Indian colour with British couture as she chose an Alexander McQueen dress accompanied with a clutch bag by Russell and Bromley, and earrings by Temple of Heaven for her arrival at the hotel.
