A top official of a leading Indian event management company along with two of his associates was detained in Dubai for allegedly possessing drugs as celebrity disc jockey Aqeel continued to be in custody after being held on similar charges.

The four Indians are expected to remain in custody for another two-three weeks after which the court will take up their cases following investigations by police. All of them were detained for allegedly possessing the drug "Ecstacy," lawyers and the company officials said.

Harindra Singh, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Percept Holdings, a company involved in adverstising, public relations and film production, was held on Saturday with two of his associates for allegedly carrying the drug with them.

An official of Percept Gulf, a Dubai-based subsidiary of the company, told PTI that the three were held on arrival at Dubai airport on Saturday.

He said that Singh and his two associates -- who were not named but believed to be top managers in Percept with one of them based in India and another in Dubai -- were fully cooperating with investigating agencies.

In the case of Aqeel, who was detained here on Sunday on charges of possession of Ecstasy, his lawyer and family friend Ashish Mehta said police were continuing the investigation.

Aqeel was presented before the public prosecution on Wednesday where he denied the charges saying someone had planted the drug in his baggage.

The lawyer and Aqeel's wife Farah Khan, the daughter of yesteryears actor Sanjay Khan and sister of Bollywood star Zayed Khan, met him at the detention centre on Thursday.
