An unidentified person was killed in Karnal on Monday night after he was hit by a vehicle in Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar’s Convoy on the National Highway 1.
The chief minister’s convoy was travelling from Chandigarh to New Delhi when the incident occurred.
The police said that the pedestrian was trying to cross the highway when he was hit by the pilot vehicle in the convoy. After the incident, the injured were rushed to the hospital, where the unidentified man succumbed to his injuries.
Efforts to identify the victim were on, the police added.
Two policemen also sustained injuries in the incident.
