A team of the Uttar Pradesh police on Tuesday searched the ancestral house of Moninder Singh Pandher in Lohat Baddi village, 62 km from Ludhiana.

Pandher allegedly abused and killed children in Noida.

The UP police comprising three sub-inspectors and two constables supported by the local police conducted searches for more than an hour in a bid to find a clue connected with possible organ trade by Pandher.

The UP police team was tightlipped about the outcome of its search, but local police sources said no evidence was found to link the killings with the sale of human organs.

The house is occupied by some caretakers as the family members have been living in Chandigarh or Delhi for the last several years.

It is learnt that the police team mainly checked documents relating to bank accounts of the family.

Statements of some of the villagers and caretakers were recorded.
