BJP raps Centre over federal agency plans

The Bharatiya Janata Party's spokespersons namely Ravi Shankar Prasad, Prakash Javadekar and Rajeev pratap Rudy went underground and were not available to even the senior leaders of the party. According to a party general secretary this was expected as they had realizedtheir folly of speaking too much and out of turn.

Arun Jaitley refused to comment: "I have said what I had to during my debate on NDTV." Jaitely was of the opinion that one should not be too vocal.

"If you talk too much you pay the price," Jaitely said.

Jaitely rapped Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil for saying that the setting up of a federal agency to investigate terror related incidents you needed  to have a constitutional amendment as law and order was a state subject. He pointed to a judgement of the apex court which said that the centre had discretion to act in these matters.

Jaitely wondered why the media had failed to track down man called Sanjeev who paid the three BJP MPs for  not voting against the Manmohan Singh government.

"Everyone knows where he lives and his face is well known, all that you need to find out from him is on whose behalf he was distributing the money. The channel which executed the sting operation has been changing its stand saying that the speaker has forbidden them from airing the tapes in question," Jaitely said.
