August 29, 2012 12:32 IST

With one more swine flu death reported in the city, the toll has reached 11 since April this year, health officials said on Wednesday.

A 25-year-old youth succumbed at a city hospital on Tuesday after testing positive for H1N1 virus following his admission on August 17, taking the swine flu casualties this month to four in Pune.

Seven more persons also tested positive for swine flu on Tuesday and were undergoing treatment in various hospitals, officials said.

Three swine flu deaths have been reported from the city in the last couple days.

While stating that the situation was not alarming, the civic health authorities have, however, appealed to people to get their tests done if flu-like symptoms persisted for long.
