Obama to address Parliament; attend Prez dinner

United States President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle will have a packed schedule for Monday, November 8, in New Delhi.

In the morning, at 0945 hours IST, the President and the First Lady will participate in an official arrival ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi.

Then, at 1025 hours IST, the President and the First Lady will participate in a wreath laying ceremony at Rajghat in New Delhi.

Later in the morning, at 1105 hours IST, the President will hold a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh at the Hyderabad House.

At 1150 hours, the President will hold an expanded bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Dr Singh. The President will then drop by a business leaders luncheon at 1235 hours. 

Later, at 1320 hours, the President will hold a joint press conference with PM Dr Singh at the Hyderabad House. This press conference is open to press.

In the afternoon, the President will meet separately with Vice President Hamid Ansari, Leader of Opposition Sushma Swaraj and Congress chief Sonia Gandhi at the ITC Maurya Hotel.

Later, at 1730 hours, the President is slated to deliver a speech at the Parliament. 

In the evening, the President Obama and the First Lady will meet with President Pratibha Patil at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The President and the First Lady will then attend a state dinner at the Rashtapati Bhavan at 2000 hours IST.
