The condition of Information and Broadcasting minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi, who was admitted to the Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, remained critical on the tenth day on Wednesday.

"His medical condition continues to remain critical and he is still on life support. There is no change in his condition," said Vineet Suri, consultant, neurology, Indraprastha Apollo hospital.

The Union Minister, who was admitted to AIIMS following a severe heart attack on October 13, was shifted on Monday to Apollo hospital for further treatment of his neurological condition.

American neurologist from John Hopkins University, Den Henley was flown in on Saturday to examine the 62-year-old minister.

"They conducted an EEG of the brain to see if there was scope for further treatment," said doctors at Apollo.

"Dr Henley had come to look into the case of Dasmunsi on the recommendation of his family doctor," said P P Singh, APS to the ailing minister.

Dasmunsi had suffered a complete failure of the left ventricular system on October 13.
