Modi's grand plans for Pranab da's birthday

December 06, 2014 15:14 IST

Narendra Modi along with his team of 65 ministers will attend President Pranab Mukherjee’s 79th birthday bash at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on December 11. After a cake cutting and a toast by Team Modi, the President will host a dinner at the banquet hall of the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

A weeklong birthday celebration has been planned which includes the president’s body guard polo match.  Another major initiative by the Rashtrapati Bhavan is to declare open a ceremonial hall and the third will be to open up employee quarters inside the complex.

Keeping in mind Modi’s equation with the President the BJP government will be in full attendance. The ice was broken by the President when Modi first visited Rashtrapati Bhavan to stake his claim to the government.

On receiving Modi after his win in the general elections, Pranab said, “After 30 years, a government with majority. Good to swear you in Mr Modi. Welcome, welcome welcome."
