Geetanjali Nagpal, who hit the headlines by begging on the streets of New Delhi in tattered clothes, is all set to be re-launched into the fashion world after her release on Tuesday from a hospital where she underwent a two-month treatment for depression.

The Delhi Commission for Women, which took the ex-model under its wings, plans her to re-launch on the ramp on the occasion of International Women's Day next year.

The 32-year-old former model was discharged from the VIMHANS hospital on Tuesday morning after spending about two months, is excited about the offers and very much keen on kick-starting her modelling career once again.

"I surely want to walk the ramp again. I will also undergo a fashion designing training during my stay at the hostel in Hisar," Geetanjali, who had walked the ramp for top designers and was a contemporary to the likes of Bollywood star Sushmita Sen, said.

Designers Vijay Kohli and Sameer Walia have approached the panel offering Geetanjali a new opening in the fashion world.

"Kohli and Walia have approached us with offers for Geetanjali. Even, she wants to be back in the fashion industry and restart her modelling career, so we are looking forward in this regard," DCW President Barkha Singh said.

Geetanjali will spend next three months in Vidya Devi Jindal Girls School Hostel in Hisar in Haryana where she can pursue an array of vocational courses in the company of her mother.

Doctors at the VIMHANS said her condition was normal. "But, she will have to take medicines regularly for next few months," they said.

The DCW said that after three months stay at Hisar, Geetanjali would be free to live her own life and take future decisions.
