Like many Canadians, We both were sadden by the news of the crash of the Columbia Space Shuttle STS 107. Let us not forget the contribution to a better humanity by Commander Rick D. Husband, Pilot William C. McCool, Payload Specialist Michael P. Anderson, Mission Specialist Kalpana Chawla, Mission Specialist David M. Brown, Mission Specialist Laurel B. Clark and Payload Specialist Ilan Ramon. At the news of the crash my thoughts immediately went back to January 28, 1986 the day we lost the Challenger Space Shuttle. It is unbelievably sad, but not completely shocking. I think we tend to forget how risky each and every space mission is for astronauts. God bless their souls. Their efforts will never be forgotten.
