Malfunctioning doors jam Delhi Metro

February 08, 2010 20:19 IST

Services of Delhi Metro were on Monday affected after all the doors of a train got stuck at Keerti Nagar station in New Delhi.

The doors of the train running on the Anand Vihar-Dwarka line got stuck at Keerti Nagar station on Monday evening, resulting in the delay of other trains.

"The train has been moved to the depot for inspection. Passengers, who were in the train, got out through the drivers' cabin. The delay in services is due to this," a Metro official said.

A large crowd accumulated at many of the stations, including Rajiv Chowk, as trains got delayed.

This is the second such incident in three days. Services on Line-2 (Central Secretariat to Jahangirpuri) were affected on February five briefly after a train's door failed to open at platform no. 2 of Central Secretariat Metro station.
