Major fire breaks out in Mumbai slum

A major fire broke out at a slum in suburban Bandra in Mumbai on Tuesday night, fire brigade officials said.

"A major fire broke out at Sanjay Nagar slum in Kherwadi area of Bandra East at around 10 pm following which five fire engines, six water tankers and two ambulances have been rushed to the spot," a fire brigade official said.

No causalities have been reported in the incident yet, they said, adding, that the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
