Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar is likely to campaign for two Congress candidates in Lok Sabha polls in Bihar sources said on Thursday. "Sachin will campaign for former Delhi police chief Nikhil Kumar and Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar in the upcoming polls,” a Congress leader close to Kumar said.

Nikhil Kumar is contesting from the Aurangabad seat and Meira Kumar is contesting from Sasaram seat. "Sachin will visit Bihar in the first week of April to seek votes for both the Congress candidates," another Congress leader said. Both seats will go to polls on April 10.

Popularly known as Nikhilbabu, Nikhil Kumar is son of veteran Congress leader and former Bihar Chief Minister Satyendra Narain Sinha. A former Indian Foreign Service officer, Meira Kumar is the sitting Congress member of Parliament from Sasaram and the daughter of late Congress leader Babu Jagjivan Ram.
