Even as opposition leader Rabri Devi continues to reside at 1, Anne Marg residence of the Bihar chief minister despite an eviction notice, 26 quarters of the Animal Husbandry Department, including the bungalow meant for its director, are illegally occupied by close relatives of Railway Minister Lalu Prasad and his wife Rabri.

Out of the 125 quarters of the AHD in the veterinary college and hospital campus, 59 are under illegal possession, of which 26 are occupied by the family members of Lalu and Rabri, Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi told a press conference on Thursday.

Modi said that the Patna District Magistrate had been directed to get these quarters vacated immediately and also realise fines from its occupants at market rate.
