Former Deputy Prime Minister Lal Kishenchand Advani, Vijay Kumar Malhotra, Santosh Gangwar and B K Tripathi accompanied Vajpayee. Briefing newsmen Malhotra said that the party would send notice under relevant provisions of the Lok Sabha rule book for discussion on bomb attack on Samjhauta Express.
"We will send the notices soon and raise the issue," he said.
"Why should we resign? The government should resign because it is their failure," he said in response to a question from
a scribe if the BJP MPs would resign in protest if the government did not accept their demand.
He said Pakistan Foreign Minister Mohammad Khurshid Kasuri, is welcome to visit India and hold talks with his counterpart Pranab Mukherjee and the government of India should remind him of the commitment to fight terror made by Pervez Musharraf, president of Pakistan, in joint communique with former prime minister A B Vajpayee on January 6, 2004.
He said the government of India should also raise the compensation for the train blast victims in Mumbai to Rs 10 lakh each just as it is doing in the case of victims of the Samjhauta Express.
He wondered why the government could not bring in a law on the lines of POTA.
