Kasab will 'inspire' others to follow his path: LeT

November 21, 2012 16:49 IST

A senior commander of Pakistani terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Tayiba has said that Ajmal Kasab, who was executed on Wednesday for his role in the 2008 Mumbai attacks, was a 'hero' who will inspire more attacks.

"He was a hero and will inspire other fighters to follow his path," Reuters quoted a commander of the LeT, which is accused of masterminding the attack, as saying.

Kasab, the lone surviving attacker behind the attacks, was hanged in Pune's Yerwada prison at 7:30 am on Wednesday after President Pranab Mukherjee rejected his appeal for mercy.
