Kapil Sibal's code attack: 'What is LOC in Karnataka?'

May 03, 2013 12:06 IST

Believe it or not, national leaders have been talking in code language during the Karnataka election campaign.

While Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi became an instant hit with the crowd the moment he addressed Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi as ‘Mr Golden Spoon’, on Friday it was the turn of the Congress to hit back.

Senior Congress leader Kapil Sibal, during an interaction with the media, had a host of abbreviations and anecdotes.

Here are some of his gems:

‘What is LOC in Karnataka? It is Laboratory of Corruption.’

‘What is CME? It means corruption made easy.’

‘What does DP mean? It means Disruptive Politics.’

‘There is a new word in the English dictionary after what Yeddyurappa did and it is called Yeduraption.”

‘What does GC To GC mean in Bengaluru? It means from Green City to Garbage City.

‘And what does TDS mean in BJP terminology. It is triple double standards -- one for yourself, one for the state and one for the centre.’

Sibal further said that former Bharatiya Janata Party president Nitin Gadkari and former BJP leader B S Yeddyurappa could join hands to write a book called, “Our experience with corruption.”
