J&K: 5 BSF jawans injured, 1 missing in landslide

Five paramilitary Border Security Force troopers were injured and one is missing after a landslide triggered by a cloud burst hit their camp near the Line of Control in Gurez sector of north Kashmir's Bandipore district on Wednesday morning.

A spokesman of the BSF told rediff.com that search for the missing head constable of the 113 battalion of the BSF was continuing.

"A landslide hit the camp this morning following a cloud burst in Burnoi village of Gurez due to which five BSF jawans were injured. They were rescued and shifted to hospital for treatment," the spokesman said.

He said the cloud burst triggered a landslide which hit a portion of the camp.
