A blast inside Parimpora police station complex left five policemen including the station house officer seriously injured on Monday afternoon.
A senior police officer said the accidental blast occurred when the policemen were inspecting ammunition seized from militants.
“A sudden explosion rocked the police station injuring the SHO and four other policemen standing nearby. The injured have been evacuated to hospital for treatment,” the officer said.
