Programmes at the Delhi School of Economics

The department of commerce at the Delhi School of Economics invites applications for its two-year full time programmes in Master of International Business & Master of Human Resource and Organisational Development, beginning in July 2004.

Eligibility: Bachelor's degree in any discipline from the University of Delhi or any other University recognized as an equivalent with at least 50% marks in aggregate. Relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST/CW candidates. Candidates appearing in the final year degree examination may also apply.

Test centres: The common entrance test will be held on December 21, 2003 at Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow and Mumbai.

How to Apply: Prospectus and application form can be obtained in person/by post from Shri S K Bose, Section Officer, Department of Commerce, Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi, Delhi 110007. 

The request must be accompanied by a self-addressed envelope of 28cm x 22cm bearing a stamp of Rs 50 and a bank draft of Rs 500 for one course and Rs 800 for both courses (Rs 400 and Rs 600 respectively for the SC/ST candidates), drawn in favour of the Registrar, University of Delhi, payable at the State Bank of India, Service Branch (Code No 7687).

Last date for submission of application form: December 5, 2003.

Postgraduate Diploma in Management at the Kirloskar Institute

The Kirloskar Institute of Advanced Management Studies, Karnataka, invites applications for its two-year Postgraduate Diploma in Management.

Eligibility: Graduates in any discipline with minimum 50%

marks aggregate. Candidates appearing for a qualifying examination can also apply, provided they complete their degree course prior to the commencement of the PGDM programme from July 2004.

Admission Procedure:Admission is based on merit listing through CAT to be conducted by the IIMs on November 23 or XAT to be conducted by XLRI on January 4, 2004.

Short-listed candidates will be called for a group discussion and interview to be conducted by KIAMS at Harihar, Bangalore, Kolkata, Pune, New Delhi and Hyderabad.

NRI candidates living abroad must submit GMAT scores along with the application forms. Candidates applying under NRI quota who are living in India must take the CAT/XAT examinations. Such candidates will not be considered for the general merit list if they have applied under NRI quota. Five per cent of the seats are reserved for NRI candidates.

Candidates must fill in the CAT registration number in the KIAMS application form before mailing it to the institute. For downloaded application form, the institute will allot the number.
