Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is expected to reply to the debate on the Iran issue in both Houses of Parliament Monday.

Dr Singh is likely to speak in the Lok Sabha first and later in the Rajya Sabha, Parliament sources said.

The International Atomic Energy Agency board meeting to decide on the Iran issue is also scheduled Monday.

The Left and Samajwadi Party, which extend outside support to the Congress-led coaltion, have warned that the government would face serious consequences if India sided with the US and voted against Iran.

These parties have been sharply critical of the handling of the Iran issue by the Manmohan Singh government.
