Infiltration bid foiled in Kashmir, militant killed

The Indian Army on Monday foiled an infiltration bid in Keran sector along the Line of Control in Kashmir, killing a militant in the operation.

On noticing some suspicious movement in the sector, troops opened fired at the ultras, an army official said.

The guns fell silent after a brief gunfight.

During the search operation, police recovered the body of the militant and an AK rifle.
