March 07, 2007 09:24 IST

At least 20 people are feared dead after an Indonesian Garuda plane burst into flames as it landed in Jakarta on Wednesday, reports said.

'I saw many bodies, dozens of bodies badly burnt near the exit,' Elshinta Radio quoted Captain Yos Bintoro, an airport official in the central city of Yogyakarta, as saying.

'I saw people dead in the cockpit. I cannot say if that's the pilot or co-pilot,' he added.

Further reports soon.
