Raveesh Ravi Kumra, an Indian American millionaire was killed by intruders who barged into his home in Los Gatos-Monte Sereno, California last Friday.
Victim's wife Rani Harinder was with him when the incident occurred. According to various media reports, she told police that four intruders entered the home, tied them up and killed her husband.
The San Francisco Chronicle reported when officers arrived they found Rani Harinder injured and the body of the 66-year-old man on the floor.
The Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Department released the sketch of one of the four suspects. He is described as 23 or 24 years-old and about six feet tall and skinny, with black hair, dark eyes and a light complexion.
A native of Kartharpur in Punjab, Kumra earned a degree in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and migrated to US in 1970. A venture capitalist, Kumra was the owner of Western Cellular Management Inc, established n 1986 and also was the former owner of the Mountain Winery, which he sold in 1999.
The same year he also established a non-profit organisation, Foundation For World Awakening, established to promote awareness through meditation, chanting and singing of religious songs.
Although the police though described the victims as husband and wife, in 2006, Harinder Kumra filed for divorce from her husband, and legally got separated in 2010.
