India, Pak border guards hold flag meeting at Jammu outpost

October 29, 2013 15:27 IST

Amid repeated ceasefire violations along the international border, the border guards of India and Pakistan on Tuesday held a flag meeting at a forward border outpost in Jammu sector.

"The flag meeting begun on Tuesday around 11.30 am and it is going on with Pak counterparts at forward BoP," a senior Border Security Force officer said.

In the meeting, BSF authorities will stage protest with Pakistan Rangers over heavy shelling and firing on border posts and civilian areas since October 14.

They will also raise the issue of infiltration from across the border, besides that of snipper firing, the officer said.

The meeting could not take place on October 18 and 20 as Pakistani troops did not turn up for it.
