Gujarat boy's killer arrested

Police on Saturday said they have arrested the accused in the kidnap and murder of a 10-year-old boy in Navsari town of south Gujarat.

Parvez Rana, an agent of a private telecome company, was arrested on Saturday night for allegedly kidnapping and murdering Nayan Kachrolia, Navsari Superintendent of Police Mauaksinh Chavda told PTI.

Rana was living near the victim's house and had kidnapped the boy for money, Chavda said.

Police tracked down Rana by examining some witnesses and going through his cell phone details. The accused had made ransom calls, police sources said.

The boy, whose father is employed with a big diamond firm, was kidnapped on Thursday from near his school in
Navsari. His body was found near railway tracks at Gautamnagar on Friday.
