Police on Sunday registered an FIR against unidentified persons in connection with the radio set explosion at Kalegaon village in Kaij tehsil of Maharashtra's Beed district.

According to sources, Anti Terrorist Squad on Sunday detained two people for interrogation in connection with the incident.

The case has been registered against unidentified persons under sections 336 (act endangering life or personal safety of others), 337 and 338 of IPC and Explosives Act, police sub-inspector Dinkar Dambale said.

Beed Superintendent of Police Dattatreya Mandlik assured that they will find out the culprit soon and are waiting for the report from Aurangabad-based forensic laboratory to know the exact nature of the material used in the explosion.

Four persons were injured in the radio set explosion at Kalegaon village in the district.

Om Nimbalkar (35), a bus conductor, had taken home a radio set found on a Mumbai-Ambejogai state transport bus on Saturday. When he tried to replace the battery pack, it exploded.

Nimbalkar, his wife Usha (30), mother Kusum (53) and two-year-son old Kunal were seriously injured in the explosion.
