Delhi cops arrest Pakistani for spying

The Delhi Police has arrested a Pakistani national on charges of spying and another person for helping him.

Asif Raees alias Nadeem Ahmed alias Kabir Malhotra, a Pakistani national, was nabbed by sleuths of the Special Cell in Yamuna Vihar area of Northeast Delhi on Monday night, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Ashok Chand told PTI.

Some documents, including handmade sketches of different areas and photographs of defence establishments were allegedly recovered from Asif, Chand said.

The police also recovered an ATM card of Muslim Commercial Bank of Pakistan from him.

Trained in spying activities in Pakistan, Asif had allegedly entered India illegally through Bangladesh in
February this year,Chand said.

The police also arrested Naushad Ali, Asif's cousin on charges of helping the Pakistani national in staying in Delhi illegally.
