Rediff.com explains the rise of the Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi with the help of this animated infographic.

On Tuesday, the Arvind-Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party swept Delhi with an absolute majority winning 67 of the 70 seats. Interestingly, the four-year-old party has registered the biggest victory margin in the capital since the first assembly elections in 1993.

In 2013, the AAP bagged 28 seats and went on to form the government with the help of the Congress. But it all lasted for 49 days, as Kejriwal stepped down as Delhi chief minister because he did not have the numbers in the assembly to push an anti-corruption bill. With a whopping 53 per cent, the AAP tsunami has crushed the Modi wave.
