Doctors said Bakshi had suffered multiple injuries on his head, chest, hands, legs and abdomen.

A doctor with the Trauma ICU at the Ram Manohar Lohia hospital where Bakshi was admitted said, "Bakshi was brought to us unconscious and seriously injured on September 7. He died today at around 4 AM. We were aghast to see his wounds when he was brought to the hospital. His skull was broken, his hands, legs and chest, all had injuries and was bleeding. His intestine was sticking out of the abdomen."

"We conducted surgeries of his intestine and his skull and were waiting to conduct the rest once he gained consciousness but this did not happen."

A resident of Uttam Nagar in west Delhi, Mridul is survived by wife and a five-month-old son.

Mridul, who was working in the marketing field of Shiva Interprises, a distributor of tiles, had gone to the High Court on that fateful day for some official work.

"Mridul was blessed with a child after six years of marriage. We have requested to the chief minister to give a job to the wife and increase the compensation amount. Doctors did their level best to save him," Vinod Bakhsi, brother of the deceased, said.

While 13 victims of the blast have been discharged, 25 others continue to undergo treatment in different city hospitals. Besides 12 patients who are now admitted with the RML Hospital, four victims are undergoing treatment at Safdarjung Hospital, five at AIIMS, two at Max Hospital and one each at Moolchand and LNJP hospitals.
