Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit has received a threat to her life, prompting the city police to strengthen her security, official sources said on Saturday. An anonymous call was made to the police control room on Thursday evening claiming that her life was in danger, the sources said.

The caller claimed that Dikshit's life was in danger for the next 72 hours. Following the call, police strengthened her security.

"I do not have any fear. I am not worried," Dikshit said when asked about the threat. When asked if she would like to have a strengthened security team, she said, "It is not my duty", indicating that the police should decide on the matter.

"Actually I wanted to cut down my security," she said.

A senior police official said they were yet to trace the anonymous caller. "We are trying to trace the caller," he said.
