Delhi-bound GoAir aircraft returns after bomb scare

November 10, 2012 23:59 IST

A Delhi-bound GoAir flight returned to an isolated bay on Saturday night after the pilot informed the Air Traffic Control of a bomb scare, an airport spokesperson said.

All the passengers have been de-boarded, inspection of cargo in the plane is on and security agencies are carrying out checks, he said.

"A GoAir flight 343 Mumbai-Delhi, which was pushed back from the bay number 4, informed ATC that they suspected a bomb threat to the flight due to which the aircraft is returning to the bay," a spokesperson of the Mumbai International Airport Ltd said.

The aircraft was later shifted to an isolated parking at 9.23 pm, he said, adding that a dog squad has been deployed to detect any explosive.
