China on Tuesday hoped that its border problem with India would be resolved soon.
"We hope that with India's cooperation, we will be able to solve the border issue so that bilateral relations will witness faster development on a new basis," Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Kong Quan said.
Kong noted that both Beijing and New Delhi had reaffirmed their willingness to solve the border issue at the first round of strategic dialogue held between Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Wu Dawei and Indian Foreign Secretary Shyam Saran in New Delhi on Monday.
The two countries' representatives have already had four rounds of talks. "We believe that it was a successful dialogue," he said.
In order to promote the software sector, the Beijing government would also organise the first Sino-Indian Software Industry Cooperation Summit in Beijing in February-end, Zhu said.
He said Beijing, which contributed to one-third of China's software output, was the 'ideal' locale for Indian software companies. The city also offers preferential policies, tax benefits and world-class facilities.
Moreover, China's 'Silicon Valley', the Zhongguancun Software Park in Beijing, has top multinational companies like IBM.
Chinese officials also hope that the Zhongguancun Software Park could set up links with Bangalore.
